Le Marché Cours Saleya
We were charmed by the lively ambiance, colors, and scents from the market. The stalls are laden with local produce and we strongly recommend this place as a must visit with a good time to spend and try out a couple of regional specialties here.
Marché aux Fleurs (flower market) is a rainbow with the colorful flowers and the Marché aux Fruits et Légumes (fruit and vegetable market) is treat to your eyes and your taste buds. The market opens every day from 6:00 am to 1:30 pm except on Mondays. We felt that these markets are so quintessentially Mediterranean and no trip to Nice would be complete without a visit to this market. We found this an ideal place to collect our supplies for our picnic basket from freshly baked bread with some marmalade for accompaniment. Some fresh fruit for a healthy nibble along with cucumber, tomatoes, and cheese for our quick sandwich before we headed off to the beach
