We are Nik and Minal the rambling couple behind this blog. For us, happiness means many things and travelling is at the top of our list. We find joy in hiking up the mountains, trekking up and down the trodden paths, chilling out on beaches, or just sitting in a café watching people come and go. Both of us are foodies and like to try local cuisine and drinks. Our families are spread around the different corners of the world which gives us more reason to travel. A friend once said working will bring you money but travel will give you treasure- beautiful memories which will last a lifetime. So here we are, sharing some of our treasured memories collected during our travels. Our idea for this blog is to inspire everyone who reads this to go out there and explore the world even when you are tied to your desk and hold a job which has 9-5 (mostly extended) working hours like us.
Nik
Nik is a Financial analyst and a number cruncher. He believes in using public transport during our trips, he hates to drive a car as that would mean he must take his eyes away from wonderful views that the road would offer (other reason being we are horrible at reading maps :)). He handles all our paperwork. Yes! We are Indian nationals living in the UK which means loads of paperwork to get our visas except when we are travelling to India 🙂 Nik loves sea food and has real soft spot for ice creams.
Minal
Minal is a compliance professional in financial services. Her superstition is planning a trip in advance means a definite jinx. Yes because of that we sometimes end up spending higher or sometimes lower on last minute tickets! Though this does not deter her from making our travel plans. Complying, her skills are used to research the place and packing for our trip. Minal loves reading and Nik calls her a ‘book eater’ ;). If there are three things she loves it’s a book, travel and her travel partner!
We are a married couple and our love story is an adventure. Being together we discovered our passion for travelling which started with small road trip to Amboli a hill station in south Maharashtra, India. Since then we have been bitten by the travel bug, and decided to see the world together. We have a desire to indulge in the beauty and nature this world has to offer.
Occasionally we may share a pensive thought apart from our travels.
We work through our desk jobs and save to fund our travels. A major part of our savings goes in creating our travel fund. Together we share our joys and experiences of travelling through our lens and pens.
